These are the same index pages on the microfilm reels in the Recorder's Office converted to PDF files which can be viewed by your Internet browser. At this time, only those for 1930 to 1988 are available but the preceding years we will consider adding in the future.
The indexes below list the seller (Grantor) and buyer (Grantee) of properties recorded in the deed books for one full year. Each index lists the seller's names only by the first letter of the last name, so all the pages must be read to find the name of interest.
However, the index pages have been processed by word recognition software and can be searched for the full name of interest using Adobe Acrobat reader. After you have clicked on the name first letter under the year and index desired, and the image pages appear, do the following.
Hold down the "Ctrl" key on your keyboard and then press the "F" key (Find, Ctrl+F). A search box will open where you can type in the name or part of the name you seek. Previous and Next Buttons appear allowing you to search backward and forward through the image. Once the name is found, it will be highlighted in blue. If this is not the person for whom you are looking, click on the Next button to go to the next name that matches what you entered into the search box. When there are no more matches, Adobe reader will inform you that all have been found.
