1794 to 1848

Leases were recorded in Deed Books A to W2 (1794-1823) and #21 to #140. Leases were indexed in the Deed Book Indexes, #1 to #4. See the pages about Deed Books and Deed Book Indexes before 1848 for details on which books were indexed. The Deed Books up to #140 are available on microfilm at the following locations:

  • Recorder’s Office, 138 East Court St., second floor, room 205, downtown Cincinnati
  • Cincinnati History Library and Archives, Cincinnati Museum Center, 1301 Western Ave., scheduled to reopen in 2018.

1848 to 1851

Leases were recorded Lease Books #1 to #4. These books have no indexes. These books and indexes are available on microfilm at the following location:

1851 to 1901

Leases were recorded in Lease Books #5 to #122. These books are indexed in three books, Lease Index 1851-1874, Lease Index 1874-1898 and Lease Index 1898-1901. These books and indexes are available on microfilm at the following location:

  • Recorder’s Office, 138 East Court St., second floor, room 205, downtown Cincinnati

1901 to 1988

Leases were recorded in Lease Books #123 to #359. Books #123 to #213 are only indexed in the rear of each book. Books #214 to #315 are indexed in three books, Lease Indexes 1931 to 1949, Lease Indexes 1949 to 1955, Lease Indexes 1955 to 1971. From 1971 to 1979, leases were recorded in books #316 to #338 and were indexed in the rear of each book. After 1979, leases were recorded in lease books #339 to #359. There are no indexes for these books. These books are only available on microfilm at the Recorder’s Office.
