Viewing
Document Information
This page displays the detailed information for the
document. You can view this information
by directly searching for the document number or
book and page number. You can also get here by searching for a name or corporation then
selecting one or more documents on the Select Document
page. For all documents, you will see
the following information:
- Department:
indicates whether the document was recorded via the Front Desk
(unregistered land) or the Registered Land Department
- Date
Executed: actual transaction date for the document. This date may be the same or earlier as
the date the document was recorded (see below).
- Amount:
dollar amount of the transaction; for example, the amount of a mortgage
- Date
& Time Recorded: date and time the document was officially
recorded
- Red
Number: internal tracking number used by the Recorder's
Office
- Book/Page:
references the book and
page number of the document
- Status:
indicates if the document has a recording error or if
it is a corresponding correction (if blank it is neither)
- Document
Type: type of document, such as a deed or mortgage
- Conveyor:
party from whom the title of the property was transferred-typically the
seller of the property
- Conveyee:
party to whom the title of the property was transferred-typically the
buyer of the property
- 8th
Series Book/Page: references the 8th Series book and
page containing the legal description of the property. The 8th Series indexes
documents geographically. The 8th
Series books are located in the Recorder's Office.
- Remarks:
any remarks entered by the Recorder's Office clerk to provide additional
information about the document
- Related
Documents: document numbers of any related documents;
for example, assignments and/or releases related to a mortgage, or the
prior deed for a given deed. Click
the related document number to open a separate window containing the
Document Detail for the related document.
Several additional fields will display depending on the
type of document you are viewing. For
example, land documents will show the Conveyor and Conveyee, while
partnership documents will show the Partnership Name and Partners.
You have several options for actions you can take on this
screen:
- To view a scanned image of the document, click the View
Image link.
- To see the mailing address to which the document
was returned, click the View Mail To Address link.
- If
you selected multiple documents on the Select
Document page, use Previous Document and Next Document
to scroll through the selected documents.
- Click
Back or use the breadcrumbs to return to the Select Document
page. Be sure to use the Back button
at the bottom of the page, not the browser's Back button, to return to
previous pages.
